What is Kindroid?
Kindroid is a subscription companion app built around memory. You set your companion’s name, personality, backstory, look and voice, and it keeps track of your history through several layers of memory. It can send photo and video selfies and voice messages, and you can start live voice or video calls. The moderation policy states in plain words that NSFW and erotic roleplay are allowed, and it lists the hard limits. You can use Kindroid on iOS, Android or the web, and there is also an API. App Store prices are $159.99 a year, $42.99 for 3 months or $15.99 a month. Before you pay, you get a one-time preview: 50 messages, 5 selfies and 2 Kindroids.

Written content rules
The policy allows NSFW and ERP and bans child sexual content, harm to others, imminent self-harm and non-consensual images of real people. You know where the line is before you pay.

The catch
It is not cheap, and Ultra ($28.99) and MAX ($68.99) add-ons cost more on top. The 3-day trial needs a payment method and auto-converts. Sales are generally final, refunds are decided case by case, and nothing is prorated. Your chats are kept until you delete the AI or your account. Encryption covers storage and transit, not end to end, and Kindroid does not say whether it trains on them. The Trustpilot sample is small and the reviews are poor, with complaints about NSFW limits, billing and memory.
Final verdict
If you want a companion that builds a shared history with you and you want the adult rules in writing, Kindroid is the one to choose. Memory, calls and platform support are all ahead of the field. You pay for it: the monthly price is on the high side, and once you pay, getting money back is unlikely. Use the preview first, then subscribe on the web.
