What is SpicyAPI?

SpicyAPI is a developer service for adult content. One API key and one prepaid USD balance give you chat, images, video and voice. The voice side has text-to-speech models and live call models. You pay as you go: TTS starts at $0.30 per 10,000 characters on Voice 1, and live calls cost about 1 to 1.5 cents a minute. There is no app to download and no chat window to open. You call the API from your own code. The acceptable use policy allows explicit adult content and bans minors, real-person likeness and non-consent in audio. Accounts are 18+, and some regions need a one-time age check before you can use the API.

Key features

Emotion tags

Each model has between 21 and 45 preset voices. Voice 2 and Voice 3 read tags in the text, such as [whispers], [giggles] or [crying], so you can mark how a line should sound. That gives you control over delivery without editing audio after the fact.

Live voice calls

The spicy-live models run over WebSocket, with sessions up to 13 minutes. Streamed TTS starts playing in about 1.5 seconds. That is enough to build a call feature for a companion app.

Cloning with consent

You can clone a voice from a 10 to 20 second sample for $0.02. You must state that the voice is yours or that you hold written consent from the owner.

Training and storage rules

The privacy policy says inputs and outputs are not used for training, and live-call audio is not stored.

The catch

It is a developer product. If you just want to listen to something tonight, you will need to build a front end first. The first 500 characters of each prompt stay with your account and are kept for six years after you close it. Voice design is paused. There are no public reviews yet, so there is no user track record on billing or support.

Final verdict

For developers, SpicyAPI covers the most ground in this category: emotion tags, live calls, consent-based cloning and a clear no-training rule, all on a pay-as-you-go balance. The six-year prompt log is the main privacy cost, so read that policy before you send user data through it. If you do not write code, pick a consumer app instead.
