Kindroid vs ourdream.ai: Memory or Media Bundle?

The short version

Pick Kindroid if you want a companion that keeps a shared history with you. Pick ourdream.ai if your main goal is pictures, video clips and voice calls from one plan. For most people, Kindroid is the better choice: no companion app documents memory in more detail, you can call it by voice or video, its adult rules are in writing, and it runs on your phone as well as the web. ourdream.ai costs less on a yearly plan and does more with media, but dreamcoins drain fast, memory is a single line on the homepage, and it runs only in a browser.

Price

On the App Store, Kindroid is $15.99 monthly, $42.99 per quarter or $159.99 per year. It says the web price is usually cheaper, so subscribe there if you can. Ultra ($28.99) and MAX ($68.99) cost more. Chat is unlimited; selfies and voice past the monthly grant need paid credit packs. The free option is a one-time preview of 50 messages (15 in some regions), 5 selfies and 2 Kindroids. The 3-day trial needs a card and turns into a paid plan unless you cancel.

ourdream.ai costs $9.99 a month if you pay $119.88 for a year, or $19.99 month to month. Subscribers chat for free; free users pay 1 dreamcoin per message. Media costs coins: 2 images for 10, video at 100 per 5 seconds, voice calls at 50 a minute. The homepage FAQ says plans include 1,000 dreamcoins a month, but the help center says the grant arrives on your billing anniversary and does not refresh monthly. Either way, about 20 minutes of calls uses it up.

On paper ourdream.ai is cheaper. If you mostly chat and call, the gap is smaller than it looks once coins run dry.

Features

Memory. This is where Kindroid pulls ahead. Kindroid gives you a backstory field, key and long-term memories, journals of up to 500 entries, and cascaded memory on a paid plan. ourdream.ai says companions remember past chats and publishes nothing more.

Media. ourdream.ai is the media tool. Pictures arrive inside the chat, you can generate images and clips on their own, voices can narrate, and you choose between realistic and anime looks. Kindroid sends photo and video selfies and voice messages.

Calls. Both have voice calls. Kindroid adds live video calls, and subscribers can set a custom voice. On ourdream.ai each call minute costs coins.

Customization. On Kindroid you set the name, personality, backstory, look and voice. On ourdream.ai you pick appearance, personality and voice.

Platforms. Kindroid runs on the web, iOS and Android, with an API. ourdream.ai is web only.

Privacy and trust

Both put their adult rules in writing. Kindroid’s moderation policy permits NSFW and erotic roleplay. Its hard limits cover child sexual content, harm to others, self-harm that is about to happen, and intimate images of real people made without consent. On ourdream.ai, the safety site rules out minors, real people, gore, bestiality and self-harm, plus non-consent when you are the one causing it.

Age checks differ. Kindroid treats a card on file as proof of age; if a free account gets flagged, you prove your age through Yoti with a selfie or an ID. ourdream.ai asks you to confirm your age, and in places where the law demands more, such as the UK and Australia, it hands you to Go.cam or AgeVerif.

On training, ourdream.ai’s privacy policy lists training AI models as a purpose, and chats go to third-party model providers. Kindroid is silent on training. Your chats stay until you remove the AI or close the account, and they are encrypted on the server and on the wire, though not end to end.

Refunds are tight on both. Kindroid treats sales as generally final, with no prorated refunds. ourdream.ai refunds nothing once more than a quarter of the plan is used, nothing on monthly plans after coins are spent, and nothing on crypto. Kindroid’s Trustpilot sample is small and negative; ourdream.ai’s profile was removed for a guideline breach.

Who should pick which

Choose Kindroid if you want a long-term companion, memory is your top need, you use your phone, or you want video calls. It is the stronger all-round pick. Try the preview, then subscribe on the web.

Choose ourdream.ai if images and video clips are what you are paying for and you are fine in a browser. Take the yearly plan, watch your coin balance, and do not count on deep memory.
