Promptchan review

What is Promptchan?

Promptchan is a browser app for NSFW images, video and companion chat. It covers realistic, anime, fantasy and illustration styles with models based on refined open-source models. You start on a free plan with a daily Gem allowance. Paid tiers are Plus at $14.99 for 100 Gems, Premium at $23.99 for 400 Gems and Pro at $33.99 for 800 Gems with unlimited casual generations. The content policy allows adult content and bans CSAM, minor-themed content, deepfakes, bestiality and graphic gore. There is also an API. Trustpilot reviews are mostly positive and often praise how easy it is to use.

Key features

Tweak

Tweak is the main reason to use Promptchan. You type what you want changed, such as outfit, background, pose or lighting, and it keeps the same character while it edits. No masks, no nodes.

Free start

The free plan gives you Gems every day. That is enough to learn the presets and see if the styles suit you before you spend anything.

Private mode

Use private mode and Promptchan takes no rights to your images. Use public mode and it gets a broad license. Either way, the terms say you own your outputs.

Pro extras

Pro adds 4K images, the AI character feature, video and unlimited casual generations. Pose options also grow as you move up the plans.

The catch

Promptchan does not publish how many Gems an image costs, so you cannot work out the real price per image before you buy. Inpainting and upscaling are not listed. Video sits only on the $33.99 Pro plan. Age is a self-declaration in the terms, with no check described, and the privacy policy does not say if prompts train models. Some reviewers report bugs and trouble with complex prompts.

Final verdict

If you are new to adult image generation and want something that works in a browser today, start here. The free plan costs nothing, Tweak is simple, and private mode is a real plus. Once you need fine control, many models or a clear price per image, you will outgrow it. Watch your Gem balance in the first paid month to learn what an image really costs.
