What is Promptchan video?

Promptchan is an adult image and chat service, and its Video tab adds clips on the Pro plan at $33.99 a month. You can write a prompt, or press Animate on an image you generated or found in Explore. You can also clone or extend clips that already exist. Each clip costs Gems on top of the plan. The app shows the exact number on the button before you generate, but Promptchan does not publish it. Free users get daily Gems for images and chat, not video.

You can start from text in the Video tab or bring an image to life with Animate. Clone and Extend let you build on a clip you or someone else made.

Optional sound

There is a Standard and a top quality setting, and you can add AI-generated sound to a clip. Resolution is not published.

Character control

You can add a saved character to the shot, and Pro unlocks the AI Character feature. Extend can hold the same pose as the clip continues.

The catch

You need the $33.99 Pro plan before you make a single clip, and then each clip costs Gems at a rate the site does not publish. Clip length is not published either. Clips you do not publish are kept for 24 hours only. Age is self-declared in the terms, with no published check. Trustpilot reviews are mostly positive, but recent ones complain about bugs and support.

Final verdict

Promptchan video makes sense if you are already a Pro user for images and want short clips without learning a new tool. The mobile apps, optional sound and the 30-day card refund window are real pluses. If you only want video, the Pro price plus unpublished Gem costs make it expensive and hard to predict next to tools that list a price per clip.
